LADY WRITER - Dire Straits
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed by: Eggs Benedict
Email: cordizzle1991@gmail.com

Tuning: Standard

This is my first tab, but I hope you like it. I looked all over the Internet for
tab that had the full song, but the closest I found was the other one on this website.
think this sounds right, but experiment with it. (I use some of my own improvised
and pull-offs; you can probably tell where...)

Rhythm Chords: Solos - Use these chords for rhythm when the solos are playing, only
I think that they provide a little more soul and sound because you can just slide from
to another right up the neck.
A B C#m G#m Am*
e|---5---| e|---7---| e|---9---| e|---4---| e|---5---|
B|---5---| B|---7---| B|---9---| B|---4---| B|---5---|
G|---6---| G|---8---| G|---9---| G|---4---| G|---5---|
D|---7---| D|---9---| D|---11--| D|---6---| D|---7---|
A|---7---| A|---9---| A|---11--| A|---6---| A|---7---|
E|---5---| E|---7---| E|---9---| E|---4---| E|---5---|

Rhythm Chords: Verses/Chorus - Use these chords for rhythm when the rest of the
is playing with the chorus and the verses. They provide a great sound, but not too great
the lead guitarist will be playing these chords as well between the licks. Lead guitar
also play these chords.
A B C#m F#m E
e|---0---| e|---2---| e|---4---| e|---2---| e|---7---|
B|---2---| B|---4---| B|---5---| B|---2---| B|---9---|
G|---2---| G|---4---| G|---6---| G|---2---| G|---9---|
D|---2---| D|---4---| D|---6---| D|---4---| D|---9---|
A|---0---| A|---2---| A|---4---| A|---4---| A|---7---|
E|---x---| E|---x---| E|---x---| E|---2---| E|---x---|

Always use the E, G#m, and F#m chords as barre chords because it seems easier, but for
bridge before the first solo (E,B,G#m,F#m) use the "solo B" because you're already on the
and 9th frets for the E, so just make the B from that. * The Am is for the rhythm on the verses.
