band played backwards. To hear it how the band actually recorded it, put the CD into
your CD drive and use a sound recording software (Sound Recorder, Cool Edit, Sound Forge,
whatever you have on your computer) to record just the beginning. Then you can find the
reverse function and hear it how they recorded it!

In this tab, riffs 1a through 1d is the tab for how they recorded it. Riff 1b is a continuation
of 1a which is the "lead guitar" (actually recorded as 2 seperate tracks), and riffs 1c and 1d

This is a great song. I reckon Metallica's 5th best, after
Master of Puppets, One, Fade to Black & Enter Sandman.
The Main Riff is very fast picked and the open E is barely
audible. I have not marked the palm-mutes, but it is pretty
obvious where they are. The solo is super hard and you almost
need to as good as Kirk to play it ;) The main reason I tabbed
this song is because I checked almost EVERY tab of Blackened on
this AND other sites and the tabs were fairly inaccurate and
