This is Bloc Party's brand new song. Kele and Russell put some sick FX on the guitar to
a retro dance sound. The is no Bass in this song, it is played only on guitars and keyboard.

None of the tabs I saw of this seemed right so I figured I'd have a crack.

INTRO/CHORUS

Synth and Guitar 1 (Gordy/Kele)

e|------------------------------------------------------------------------||
B|------------------------------------------------------------------------||
G|------------------------------------------------------------------------||
D|------------------------------------------------------------------------||
A|------------------------------------------------------------------------||
E|9-9-9-9-9-9-9-9-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-7-7-7-7-7-7-8-8-||

If you tremolo pick this and turn the tone down a bit you can get a similar sort of
to that on the record...or you can spend a ridiculous amount of money on a Korg synth. I
Kele must use some sort of tremelo effect as when they play live he only picks each note
the synth is the dominant part anyway.

Guitar 2 (Russell)

e|------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|21-21-21-21-21-21-21-21-16-16-16-16-16-16-16-16-13-13-13-13-13-13-13-13-|
D|------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|------------------------------------------------------------------------|

e|----------------------------------------------------------------|
B|----------------------------------------------------------------|
G|11-11-11-11-11-11-11-11-9-9-9-9-9-9-9-9-16-16-16-16-16-16-16-16-|
D|----------------------------------------------------------------|
A|----------------------------------------------------------------|
E|----------------------------------------------------------------|

e|------------------------------------------------||
B|------------------------------------------------||
G|13-13-13-13-13-13-13-13-11-11-11-11-11-11-11-11-||
D|------------------------------------------------||
A|------------------------------------------------||
E|------------------------------------------------||

I'm not entirely sure about the alteration from playing the E on the 21st fret the first
to playing it on the 9th the second time through. It is most likely that Russel is
a pitch shifter or POG to add the higher octave. Once more though, this is the version
we people without stupid amounts of money to spend on pedals.

VERSE

Synth/Guitar 1

e|------------------------------------||
B|------------------------------------||
G|------------------------------------||
D|------------------------------------||
A|------------------------------------||
E|9-9-9-9-9-9-9-9-12-12-12-12-5-5-5-5-||

Same rhythm as the intro. The Pre-Chorus is just the 9th fret on the E string.

Guitar 2
(This is only played in the second verse)

e|---------------------------------19----------19-||
B|---------19----------19-------------------------||
G|18-20-21----18-20-21----18-20-21----18-20-21----||
D|------------------------------------------------||
A|------------------------------------------------||
E|------------------------------------------------||

This is repeated throughout the second verse. Russell slowly brings the tone up on a wah.

If that is too awkward you can play it in a couple of other ways.

e|---------------------------------19----------19-||
B|---16-17-19----16-17-19----16-17-------16-17----||
G|18----------18----------18----------18----------||
D|------------------------------------------------||
A|------------------------------------------------||
E|------------------------------------------------||

e|---------------------------------19----------19-||
B|14-16-17-19-14-16-17-19-14-16-17----14-16-17----||
G|------------------------------------------------||
D|------------------------------------------------||
A|------------------------------------------------||
E|------------------------------------------------||

BRIDGE

It just sounds like everything holds the C# (9th fret on the E string) however Russell
picks an E (2nd fret on the D string) and slides up into the final chorus towards the end
the bridge.

The final chorus sounds as though Russell throws in a few changes possibly. You can try
out, all you need to know is that it's in E major.

Alright, I played all the tabs on the site (excluding guitar pro because I
temporarily don't have it) and they were all wrong to my ear. Sorry guys!

I tried looking for tabs for the live version of Flux but didn't find any so I decided
make my own. The video i used to tab this out will be at the bottom of the tab

Synth Intro (Tremolo picked)
[e]---------------------------------------------------------|
[b]---------------------------------------------------------|
[g]---------------------------------------------------------|
[D]---------------------------------------------------------|
[A]4---0-------2--3-4-----0---------------------------------|
[E]--------0----------------------0-------------------------|

Guitar Intro/1st chorus (Russell, Tremolo picked also)
[e]------------------------------------------|
[b]------------------------------------------|
[g]------------------------------------------|
[D]9----2----6----4----2----9----6----7-4----| x2
[A]------------------------------------------|
[E]------------------------------------------|

I'm not too sure about this part. Since i don't have the effects that Russell uses I had
improvise with just a distortion pedal. You can get the same effect by palm muting and
beginning of the verse and then let the notes actually ring later on. He repeats
it about 7-8 times.

2nd Verse
[e]----------------------------------------------------|
[b]-------9--------9------10------12-------------------|
[g]---9-9------9-9----9-9-----9-9----------------------|
[D]11-------11------11------11-------------------------|
[A]----------------------------------------------------|
[E]----------------------------------------------------|

2nd chorus (Tremolo picked)
[e]--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
[b]--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
[g]13----9----6----8----9----4----1---2--4---8----13----9----6----8----9----4---1---2--4-|
[D]--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
[A]--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
[E]--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|

Bridge (tremolo picked, most of it)
[e]----------------------------------------------------------------------|
[b]----------------------------------------------------------------------|
[g]4--------9-------------9-9-9-9-9-9-9-9-9-----/0-----------------------|
[D]----------------------------------------------------------------------|
[A]----------------------------------------------------------------------|
[E]----------------------------------------------------------------------|
or you can play 9 and then slide to 14 on D and then slide to 0, i slide because i don't
the effects Russell has so again i had to improvise.

Not sure about the chords he uses in this part. This is pretty close
3rd Chorus (not sure how many times he plays this)
[e]-----------------------------------|
[b]-----------------------------------|
[g]999-9-99--------99-9-9-99-11-9-8-9-|
[D]---------777777--------------------|
[A]777-7-77--------77-7-7-77-9--7-6-7-|
[E]---------555555--------------------|

[e]------------------------------------------|
[b]------------------------------------------|
[g]999-9-99------99-9-9-99-11-11-13-13-14-14-|
[D]--------77777-----------------------------|
[A]777-7-77------77-7-7-77-9--9--11-11-12-12-|
[E]--------55555-----------------------------|

I dont know the outro, if anyone knows how its played or any feedback email me at
hope you enjoy this.
