***************************** anyone who has a guitar with dual volumes and a 3 way selecter can do the scratching. you have to turn one volume all the way down and keep the other up this will allow your selecter to act like a kill switch, then as you rubing your hand across the strings to make the scratch sound you kill it and start it with your selecter. You have to time the two perfectly to get that perfect dj sound but remember most of the rethem is in the selecter (your kill switch)
the rest of the song is just part 1 followed by the intro

[Solo] During the solo, Tom uses his Toggle switch technique while sliding his palm and fingertips over the 5th and 6th strings above the humbuckers. Heres a tab that will help you practice. Its just an example.

This is an awesome song and definitely worth learning. All the other tabs I have read are wrong
because for the intro they use an F sharp instead of an F. This is my first tab so go

For the scratch part you need a guitar with a three way pickup selector switch.
Volume settings are Rythym:0 Treble:10. Flick your switch on and off while scratching
strings
with your fingernails/pick to give the added DJ effect. You have to get it just right
it to
sound good.
The last parts of the song are the first Wah Wah part (F) followed by the intro.

BULLS ON PARADE (LIVE) - Rage Against the Machine
From the 2003 album LIVE AT THE GRAND OLYMPIC AUDITORIUM
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed by: Dennis Gess
Email: gtpck32@yahoo.com
Tuning: Standard
The album version of this song is played in Half-Step down tuning. Live, the
song is played in standard tuning, but on the same frets as the album version.
If you watch the concert, you'll see that Tom is doing volume swells in the intro solo,
Jesus, I don't see how it's possible to do volume swells reasonably well. I've included
different versions on how to do the intro solo, but I think Version 1 sounds better.
Tom Morello himself has said that he sometimes adds a 'dissonant note' in
the chorus. The dissonant note is basically a note out of the scale. For
example, the entire song Bulls on Parade is based on F#. So, any note out
of the scale of F# would be considered dissonant. Also, add some 'chuggas',
or muted notes in between.
Solo
3:54 - 4:15
It's impossible to write a tablature for Tom's solo in Bulls on Parade, because there is
a single picked note in it; rather, he scratches the stings with the palm of his left
while with his right he is using the pickup selector. All you need to play the solo is
guitar with two pickups and two volume knobs, one for each pickup. Put the volume of one
to 0, while the other pickup at 10. Now, rub your left hand's palm on the strings over
pickups, all the while alternating between pickups. In order for the scratching to be
adequately, use a whammy pedal set up 2 octaves.
The rest of the song is just the intro bridge and the intro riff:
